The University of Kent is proud to sponsor Business of the Year 2022, the most sought-after category in the Kent Invicta Chamber Business Awards 2022.
This category is open to any business, irrespective of sector, which can demonstrate their outstanding performance, particularly over the last 12-24 months, in a number of aspects relating to their business operation. This should include commercial success, clear plans for growth, commitment to staff, local communities, environment and customers, a track record of innovation and strong leadership. Entrants must have been trading for a minimum of two years.
In addition to this, Research and Innovation at the University of Kent have sponsored a second category, Innovative Business of the Year 2022, which aims to attract businesses within which innovation or technology is a key element and where the continuous development is a major function of the business.
These long-standing awards sit alongside eight other categories in the Kent Invicta Chamber Business Awards 2022. Organised in association with Kent County Council, they bring together the business community showcasing the amazing achievements of a range of businesses and talented individuals. The remaining categories include:

- Employer Of the Year
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Excellence in Customer Service
- Family Business of The Year
- Most Promising New Business
- Success in International Trade
- Sustainability And Decarbonisation Business of The Year

Businesses have until 30 September to submit their entry, after which awards will be announced at a Gala Dinner at Westhanger Castle on Thursday 17 November.
