Kent Staff: maximise the impact of your work through collaboration

Wednesday 27th February, 12.15 – 1.45pm, Templeman Library, Seminar Room 4

University of Kent staff, you are invited to the next Kent Enterprise and Impact Network (KEIN) lunch. This meeting will include two short talks from:

  • Dr Jason Nurse (School of Computing) on his ‘enterprise journey’, drawing on his collaborative work with both industry and government.
  • Maria Miller (Kent Innovation and Enterprise – KIE) will talk about the ins and outs of undertaking consultancy work for external partners.

These will be followed by a Q&A session and an informal discussion. Where might your research be applicable? How do you find out what an organisation’s problems or interests are? How to approach external partners? How does this kind of work fit with academic research and impact? What kind of funding routes are available?

KEIN is a network created jointly by Kent Innovation & Enterprise and Learning and Organisational Development with the aim of bringing together staff interested in collaboration with non-academic external partners.

All University staff are welcome. Please register with entadmin@kent.ac.uk in advance so that we have correct numbers for lunch, specifying dietary or access requirements.
