Throughout the 2015/16 academic year, University of Kent Chancellor Gavin Esler is holding a series of ‘In Conversation’ talks.
The events take place at the University of Kent campus in Canterbury; there is free parking on campus after 17.00 and at weekends.
Speakers so far have included film critic Mark Kermode, author Ian Rankin OBE and cartoonist Gerald Scarfe CBE.
These public talks are a great way to learn more about the careers of these high profile individuals and understand their respective fields, particularly if you have a similar interest in terms of what you would like to study.
A full list of future talks can be found on the Gavin Esler – In Conversation web page, with Gavin welcoming journalist Alastair Stewart OBE, novelist Louis de Bernieres and musician Robert Wyatt. Videos of each talk are also available.
You can also follow the conversation and suggest questions for each talk on Twitter using #GavinAsks
