The latest instalment of the Vice-Chancellor\u2019s Cup took staff teams off campus and into the lively setting of Boom Battle Bar\u00a0Canterbury\u00a0for an evening of\u00a0fun energy\u00a0pub-style competition!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n With great music playing and a vibrant bar atmosphere throughout the night, teams competed across three classic pub games: shuffleboard, axe throwing, and darts. Each activity tested a different skill set, from precision and control to teamwork and composure under time pressure, creating a\u00a0well-rounded\u00a0and engaging competition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The event\u00a0maintained\u00a0a relaxed and friendly tone, with plenty of laughter, encouragement, and inter-departmental camaraderie on display. Whether teams were aiming for a perfect dart score or trying their hand at axe throwing for the first time, the focus remained firmly on the shared experience and enjoyment.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The competition proved to be a close and exciting contest, with\u00a0<\/span>Last Ones Standing<\/span><\/b>\u00a0emerging as overall winners on 20 points following consistently strong performances across all three activities. Just one point behind,\u00a0<\/span>Marlowe\u2019s Marauders<\/span><\/b>\u00a0secured second place with 19 points, pushing the winners right to the end.\u00a0<\/span>PIINATS<\/span><\/b>\u00a0claimed third place with 18 points, closely followed by\u00a0<\/span>Winter Soldiers<\/span><\/b>\u00a0on 17 points.\u00a0<\/span>BDRI<\/span><\/b>\u00a0rounded out the standings with a solid effort, finishing on 16 points.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A standout aspect of the night was the variety of activities offered.\u00a0Shuffleboard brought a tactical edge, darts required accuracy and consistency, and axe throwing proved to be a crowd favourite, drawing cheers from\u00a0all involved.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n To round off the night, each team came together for a large, energetic game of\u00a0drinks\u00a0pong.
