Join the Kent FA and Kent Sport at the Sports Pavilion on the University of Kent&#8217;s Canterbury campus for <strong>a FREE football session for all women and girls<\/strong>. We look forward to seeing many new players of all ages coming along and enjoying the day!<\/p>\n<p>After the success of last years event, Kent FA would love to get even more females involved, this year at an even bigger venue with even more opportunities for new ballers to get involved.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.microsoft.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=kCXJRcbM-UaA_5_I2e3eOe1rBc8Z9MpPi-KV7EPMLZFUMkFQMk1VOEFMRUVRSDdMVENPTk1BOFFNTC4u&amp;origin=lprLink&amp;route=shorturl\">Sign up to take part<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Details of the day<\/h3>\n<p>Join us for a fantastic day celebrating female footballers of all ages, from first\u2011time players to seasoned players.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong> Saturday 7 March 2026. Sessions start from 10am. Registration open from 11.30 for Cups, 13.30 KO.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> University of Kent Sports Pavilion, Canterbury, CT2 7NZ. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/maps\/canterbury\/canterbury-campus\/building\/sports-pavilion\/\">Directions to campus<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>The morning will consist of:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">10am to 11am &#8211; Wildcats session (5 to 11 years old)\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">11.15am to 12.15pm &#8211; Squad Girls session (12 to 15 years old)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span role=\"presentation\">Learn to Play (16 years plus) beginners\u2019 sessions plus a session just for Mums, Aunties and sisters to join in!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Plus, there will be a fun kit\u2011design challenge, with the winning design being made into a real kit!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9465\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-9465\" style=\"width: 4264px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentsport-news\/files\/2026\/02\/KENTFA_070.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9465\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentsport-news\/files\/2026\/02\/KENTFA_070.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"4264\" height=\"2840\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-9465\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Kent FA<br \/>K Sports Club<br \/>National Womens Day, Women in football competition.<br \/>Pictures Ian Scammell<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>The afternoon will consist of two tournaments:<\/h3>\n<p><b>Women\u2019s Recreational Cup<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7\u2011a\u2011side format<\/li>\n<li>Squads of up to 12 players<\/li>\n<li>Open to teams currently playing in the Casual League or those looking to form a new 7\u2011a\u2011side team<\/li>\n<li>Please note: players registered to an 11\u2011a\u2011side team during the current season are not eligible to take part<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>One recreational team per club<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>Walking Football Cup<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>6\u2011a\u2011side format<\/li>\n<li>Squads of up to 12 players<\/li>\n<li>Open to established walking football teams, as well as groups who would like to come along and try walking football for the first time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>One walking football team per club<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.microsoft.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=kCXJRcbM-UaA_5_I2e3eOe1rBc8Z9MpPi-KV7EPMLZFUMkFQMk1VOEFMRUVRSDdMVENPTk1BOFFNTC4u&amp;origin=lprLink&amp;route=shorturl\">Sign up online<\/a>.
