From <strong>launching the women\u2019s intramural football league<\/strong> to running <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/sports\/all-active\"><strong>ALL Active futsal sessions<\/strong><\/a> with Kent Sport \u2014 culminating in the <strong>first-ever Women\u2019s Futsal Varsity Match<\/strong> against Canterbury Christ Church University \u2014 her impact has been game-changing.<\/p>\n<p>Anna\u2019s commitment goes beyond the pitch:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>She led the <strong>UKC Women\u2019s team to be the pilot for Strength &amp; Conditioning training<\/strong>, advancing performance and injury prevention.<\/li>\n<li>She provided <strong>grassroots coaching opportunities<\/strong> for players, helping them develop leadership and coaching skills.<\/li>\n<li>She supported <strong>Kent Sport holiday camps<\/strong>, engaging with the wider community.<\/li>\n<li>She successfully utilized <strong>BUCS Play<\/strong> to streamline the intramural league, even leading to one lucky player winning <strong>free England tickets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Her drive helped <strong>secure Kent FA funding<\/strong> for women-only sessions, resulting in <strong>30+ free tickets to the England vs Spain match<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentsport-news\/files\/2025\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-05-21-at-16.39.22.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8744\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentsport-news\/files\/2025\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-05-21-at-16.39.22.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anna has also been instrumental in promoting inclusivity, working with the Student Union to raise awareness of diversity in sport and organizing <strong>fundraisers with women\u2019s sports societies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Anna\u2019s leadership, passion, and relentless energy have left a lasting legacy on campus and within the student football community.<\/p>\n<p>In Anna&#8217;s own words:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-teams=\"true\">I\u2019m absolutely over the moon to have been able to bring a smaller university like Kent into the spotlight through women\u2019s football. To stand out alongside institutions like Loughborough, Warwick, and Oxford, despite having less funding, fewer facilities, and being entirely student-led, shows just how much passion and determination can achieve. We&#8217;ve proven that it&#8217;s possible to build a pathway for girls to play and thrive in the sport.
