In our annual fitness class shakeup, Kent Sport invites you to join the fitness team to sample a unique afternoon\/evening of group exercise at the tenth annual FitnessFest medley on <strong>Monday 9 March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>FitnessFest 2020 kicks off at 3pm with a free <strong>Bollywood Workshop <\/strong>(Music for change). Open to all staff and students, join dance company <a href=\"http:\/\/beeja.com\/\">Beeja<\/a> for this unique fusion of traditional and modern dance that is beloved by the Bollywood film industry. This event is hosted privately, so please book via the Eventbrite link to ensure entry: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/worldfest-bollywood-dance-workshop-tickets-94645582485\">Bollywood Dance Workshop<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next up at 4pm, get ready to explore classical Indian dance techniques in our free <strong>Indian Dance Workshop <\/strong>from 4pm to 5pm. Led by dance company <a href=\"http:\/\/beeja.com\/\">Beeja<\/a>, this class will aim to develop dancers\u2019 awareness of their own bodies \u2013 don\u2019t fret, no experience is required! This is open to all staff and students and is completely free. Since this event is hosted privately, please book via the Eventbrite link to ensure entry: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/worldfest-indian-dance-workshop-tickets-94647239441\">Indian Dance Workshop<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At 5.30pm we mix things up with <strong>FitSteps<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0an energetic, upbeat dance fitness class featuring all of your favourite strictly dances. Hayley leads this class which is designed to give real, measurable fitness results. It is suitable for all ages and abilities and you don&#8217;t need a partner. You will have so much fun you won&#8217;t even realise you are getting fit!<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking to maximise your workout, then join us for <strong>Cultural<\/strong> <strong>Circuits<\/strong> at 6.10pm with the effervescent Del. Come dressed up as your favourite country to get into the spirit of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/worldfest\">Worldfest<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Feel the beat with our next class \u2013 <strong>Drums Alive<\/strong>\u00ae with Jeni at 6.30pm. Using rhythm as the source of inspiration to discover a new group fitness experience Drums Alive\u00ae combines the benefits of a traditional physical fitness program with the brain affected benefits of music and rhythm.\u00a0Drums Alive\u00ae is a program that fosters a healthy balance physically, mentally, emotionally and socially!<\/p>\n<p>Following on at 7.30pm John spins us around the globe in an inspiring <strong>Spinning<\/strong> class. Ride to your heart&#8217;s content in this class that pushes your RPMs to the limit.<\/p>\n<p>To close the evening, we join the epic duo Jeni and Kealy for <strong>Zumba <\/strong>at 8.30pm. If you love to move, then this is the perfect class to let loose and live your best life. Jeni and Kealy are sure to be the perfect package in this exciting dance class.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure click &#8216;Going&#8217; on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/2534762570142671\/\">Facebook event<\/a> and tell all your friends about this epic night of fun!<\/p>\n<p>All FitnessFest classes are free for Premium Plus and Premium Members. Plus and Pay to Play pay \u00a32 per class. Class fees are payable at the Sports Centre reception. <strong>Please book and pay (if required) on to each class you will be attending.\u00a0<\/strong>Premium Plus members\u00a0can <a href=\"https:\/\/kentsport.kent.ac.uk\/Horizons\/\">book\u00a0online<\/a> up to seven days in advance\u00a0or\u00a0by\u00a0visiting the Sports Centre or Pavilion receptions.\u00a0Premium and Plus members can book up to five days in advance at reception and Pay to Play can book three days in advance.\u00a0On the day bookings are also allowed, however, classes may be full.
