{"id":2018,"date":"2016-03-09T17:15:03","date_gmt":"2016-03-09T17:15:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentsport-news\/?p=2018"},"modified":"2016-03-09T17:15:03","modified_gmt":"2016-03-09T17:15:03","slug":"back-to-the-future-fun-run","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentsport-news\/back-to-the-future-fun-run\/","title":{"rendered":"Back to the Future Fun Run"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><em>Dr Emmett Brown: If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything. <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Forty\u00a0runners\u00a0shot off from the sunny start line of the Back to the Future Fun Run on Friday 4<sup>th<\/sup> March.\u00a0 The runners ran through the decades, with music playing from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s along each stage of the three\u00a0mile course. Prizes were awarded to 1<sup>st<\/sup> and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place for both students and staff, and all participants enjoyed well-earned hot chocolate and cookies at the end.<\/p>\n<p>It was great to see nine\u00a0departments running including a four\u00a0strong School of Arts team, who are taking part in the Vice Chancellor\u2019s Cup for the first time this year! The departmental 1<sup>st <\/sup>place was won by Paul Sales from Kent Innovation &amp; Enterprise with a time of 00:19:19 and Tamsin Harris from Kent Business School\u00a0with a time of 00:21:57. 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place was taken by Zita Stone, also from Kent Business School\u00a0and Hang Xu from EDA.<\/p>\n<p>For students, 1<sup>st<\/sup> place was achieved by S.E.L.
