{"id":1745,"date":"2016-01-21T17:30:37","date_gmt":"2016-01-21T17:30:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentsport-news\/?p=1745"},"modified":"2025-10-28T10:21:21","modified_gmt":"2025-10-28T10:21:21","slug":"kent-sport-developments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentsport-news\/kent-sport-developments\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent Sport facility developments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>2015 was an exciting year for facility development at Kent Sport and 2016 promises to be just as exciting.\u00a0The brand new, \u00a31m 3GX pitch has now been\u00a0completed and is available to book for sports such as football, rugby and American football.\u00a0Watch the video of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=j-m1BrJtyuA&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">3GX development and completion<\/a>\u00a0and see live sport on the 3GX via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/sports\/facilities\/developments.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">webcam<\/a>. \u00a0The official launch of\u00a0the pitch is\u00a0something you won&#8217;t want to miss! Date to be announced later this term.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed Cycle Hub received planning permission and is now out to tender with construction companies. The build is hoped to be finished by July 2016 and ready for use from September 2016. The Cycle Hub will provide members with the opportunity to hire\u00a0a Kent Sport bike, repair their own or get expert advice on all things cycling.
