Sport matters competition winners

Sport Matters competition winners

Kent Sport asked you to tell us why sport matters to you, with a chance to win a Kent Sport limited edition hoodie.

Five lucky winners have now been chosen from the entries and presented with their hoodies.

Congratulations to the winners, who are Jenny Nash, Viola Siggie, Antje Bennefield, George Farrington and Romane Freiss. To find out why sport matters to them, read their stories on the Kent Sport blog as we publish one a week through to the Christmas break.

It is obvious sport matters to all those that provided us with feedback and has helped to change their lives for the better. Furthermore recent research by BUCS proved that sport has a positive impact on graduate employability and shows the current average salary of graduates who engaged in sport is £32,552 compared with £26,728 for those who do not.

More than just earning power the study shows 51% of graduates say sporting involvement has helped them develop teamwork skills and leadership qualities in the workplace.
