{"id":334,"date":"2017-03-27T08:34:29","date_gmt":"2017-03-27T07:34:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentmedhist\/?p=334"},"modified":"2017-03-27T08:34:29","modified_gmt":"2017-03-27T07:34:29","slug":"grant-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentmedhist\/grant-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Grant Success!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Centre\u00a0is pleased to announce that Dr Claire Jones, our deputy director, has been awarded a prestigious &#8220;Academy of Medical Sciences Springboard &#8211; Health of the Public 2040&#8221; grant, which is funded by the Wellcome Trust. The scheme funds innovative cross-disciplinary projects in the health social sciences and medical humanities with the aim of identifying and solving some of the main health challenges the UK population will face by 2040.<\/p>\n<p>Given the growing oral health inequalities in Britain, Claire\u2019s project \u2018Oral Health Inequalities, Oral Hygiene Cultures in England, 1870-1970,\u2019 is extremely timely and aims to inform future dental health policy and practice.
