UNDERGRADUATE DISSERTATION PRIZE – History of Medicine, Ethics and Medical Humanities
In 2016 the Centre for the History of Medicine, Ethics and Medical Humanities launched a new prize for the best third-year undergraduate dissertation in medical history to celebrate the excellent work carried out by many of the School of History’s undergraduate students.
The inaugural prize was presented at the School of History’s Graduate Party by Dr Juliette Pattinson to the winner Kate Docking for her dissertation on Human Experimentation at Ravensbrück Concentration Camp.
The prize (£100 cash) is awarded annually to the best third-year undergraduate dissertation in the history of medicine, ethics and medical humanities.
HOW TO APPLY
Undergraduate students wishing to be considered for the 2018 prize should submit an electronic copy of their dissertation to the Centre’s Deputy Director, Dr Claire Jones (C.L.Jones-26@kent.ac.uk). The deadline for submission will be 15th June 2018. The winner will be announced at the beginning of July.

- Psychiatry and Mental Health
