She is a figurative representation of displaced children globally, many of whom have become separated from their families, and carries the message \u201cDon\u2019t forget about us\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Produced\u00a0by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodchance.org.uk\/\">Good Chance Theatre<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.walkwithamal.org\/\">The Walk<\/a> is an 8000km travelling festival of art and hope that aims to focus attention on the urgent needs of young refugees. Little Amal was designed and built by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.handspringpuppet.co.za\/\">Handspring Puppet Company<\/a>, the world-famous creators of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.handspringpuppet.co.za\/our-work\/handspring-productions\/war-horse-2\/\">War Horse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The University was invited to participate in The Walk because of its reputation for and prominent role in working towards a better future for detainees and refugees. It is the only UK university to host the project.<\/p>\n<p><i>The Walk<\/i>\u00a0is a Good Chance Production presented by Good Chance, Stephen Daldry, David Lan and Tracey Seaward, and is directed by Amir Nizar Zuabi.\u00a0It is produced locally by the University\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/institute-cultural-creative-industries\">Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries (iCCi)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentlawclinic\/files\/2021\/10\/3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-881\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentlawclinic\/files\/2021\/10\/3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentlawclinic\/files\/2021\/10\/1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-880\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kentlawclinic\/files\/2021\/10\/1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1080\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Little Amal paused for a rest at Kent Law Clinc today, during her visit to the Canterbury campus.
