KBS entrepreneur Nadia Simpson to appear at Inspirational Speaker Event

Just one more day to go until the Inspirational Speaker event in collaboration with the Student Success Central team.

The event begins on Tuesday 29 June at 2pm and will feature two guest speakers, sharing their experiences and guidance on how to overcome barriers to achieve life goals.

Please see a below for a breakdown of timings at the event.

Karen Cruise – 14:00 – 15:00

Karen knows only too well what it feels like to have low self-worth after being written off at school, yet with the proper support and mind-set achieved lots of successes in her life: she became a senior manager for one of the largest social housing companies in West Yorkshire, gained a Bachelor of Arts degree aged 36, passed her GCSEs at the ripe old age of 52 and now owns two successful coaching companies.

Karen has overcome limiting beliefs placed upon her by other people and herself to achieve what she never thought was possible. She will offer tips that everyone can put into practice to help them live their best life.

Nadia Simpson – 15:00 – 15:30

Nadia (pictured in the main image) is a Kent Business School student, who launched a sustainable and ethical haircare brand Nadia Esi Naturals as part of her ‘selfie’ year.

Nadia will explain her journey setting up the brand, which creates all natural products using recycled materials, and donates a proportion of all sales to Blessed Little Angels school in Ghana.

This event is on Tuesday 29th June 14:00 – 15:30 on Microsoft Teams.
