Campus Guides

When you first move into your accommodation, walking onto campus for the first time can be daunting. Be sure to arm yourself with a Canterbury Campus Guide or a Medway Campus Guide. These provide you with advice on how to get to the University, and an easy-to-use map to help you learn how to navigate your way around campus in your first few weeks.

Connect with KBS

Connecting on social media is a great way to stay up-to-date with any news, events, or opportunities that are happening during the academic year. Kent Business School regularly share surveys and competitions, so there are many opportunities to get involved. You can find KBS on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Kent Business Matters Blog

The Kent Business Matters Blog is a blogging community for students, academics and business leaders, to share their ideas, research and advice. This is a great resource for KBS newcomers to acquaint themselves with their academic tutors and seek help from fellow students. You can even become a student blogger yourself – email kbsmarketing@kent.ac.uk to express an interest and find out what’s involved.

Moving In

The University provides a very thorough Student Guide for new students joining the Kent community as well as those returning to Kent. Here you can find key information about arrivals weekend, and introducing key systems and services including student email, timetabling, SDS (Student Data System) and the library search system.

Also provided is a copy of the Student Charter as well as a guide to campus life, where to get help with employability, how to enhance your student experience, and guidance on financing your studies.

Student Support

Kent Business School’s Personal Academic Support System (PASS) gives students a range of individual support, provided by a dedicated team of staff. Seek advice from them on matters such as attendance, concession procedures, academic peer mentoring, intermission and withdrawal and advice and guidance for parents. For front of line contact with Kent Business School visit the Student Office on both the Canterbury and Medway campuses.

Employability Blog

Employability is at the heart of everything you do at KBS. The Kent Business School Employability Blog is a fantastic resource for all KBS students and KBS alumni, offering help and advice on how to make yourself more employable and highlights opportunities to build success in the world of work.

Keep up with all Kent Business School news and events, and more. Find out about the latest accreditations, the latest construction updates and the introduction of new programmes with the KBS news and events feed.

Visit your Surroundings

Kent Students are spoiled by fantastic facilities, learning spaces and leafy campuses, and heading off campus is always a good treat too. Canterbury students should try Visit Canterbury for fantastic ideas on what’s available, and sign up to MyCanterbury for freebies and discounts, including discounted entry to local attractions. Medway Students should try Visit Medway and apply for a Medway City Card.
