The OR Society’s Beale Lecture is to take place at the Royal Society, London on 27 February 2020. <\/p>\n
The OR Society’s Beale Medal<\/a> is awarded in memory of the late Martin Beale and gives formal recognition to a sustained contribution over many years to the theory, practice or philosophy of OR in the UK, or to some combination of those areas.<\/p>\n The main speaker for this forthcoming lecture is their 2018 Beale Medal award winner,\u00a0Professor Russell Cheng<\/a>, Emeritus Professor within Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton.<\/p>\n The OR Society\u2019s 2017 Doctoral (PhD) Award Winner<\/a> will also be present, (Yvonne)\u00a0Jeeu-Fong Sze<\/a>, Assistant Professor of International Business School (IBS) at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), China. Yvonne’s shorter talk will precede that of Professor Cheng. Said Salhi<\/a>, Professor of Management Science and Operational Research at Kent Business School<\/a> will also be in attendance.
