Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the largest business education network connecting students, educators, and businesses worldwide<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAACSB accreditation recognises institutions that have demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning,\u201d said Stephanie M. Bryant, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. \u201cWe congratulate the University of Kent and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kbs\/people\/profiles\/meyer-martin.html\">Dean Martin S. Meyer<\/a> on earning accreditation, and applaud the entire Kent team\u2014including the administration, faculty, staff, and students\u2014for their roles in earning this respected honor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Synonymous with the highest standards of quality, AACSB accreditation inspires new ways of thinking within business education globally and, as a result, has been earned by only 5 percent of the world&#8217;s schools offering business degrees at the bachelor level or higher. Today, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aacsb.edu\/accreditation\/accredited-schools\">845 institutions across 56 countries and territories<\/a><\/strong> maintain AACSB accreditation. Furthermore,<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aacsb.edu\/accreditation\/accredited-schools?F_Accreditation=Business+and+Accounting\">189 institutions<\/a> <\/strong>maintain a supplemental AACSB accreditation for their accounting programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am delighted we have achieved AACSB accreditation. This is testament to the hard work we have undertaken to develop our strengths as a school that champions sustainable innovation, and develops ethical and responsible graduates who make a difference,\u201d said Dean Martin S. Meyer. \u201cThe Peer Review Team commended Kent Business School on its business and community engagement, and the close alignment between research output and the School\u2019s mission, ensuring its impact on management practice through its research and innovation projects with local and regional SMEs and corporates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn example of this is the Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP), where Kent Business School accounts for 10 percent of KTP among all business schools in the UK,\u201d continued Dean Meyer. \u201cThe School received another commendation for its ASPIRE and Business Start-Up Journey program which has successfully embedded sustainable development goals while increasing students\u2019 employability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aacsb.edu\/accreditation\">AACSB accreditation<\/a><\/strong> provides a framework of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aacsb.edu\/accreditation\/standards\">15 international standards<\/a><\/strong> against which business schools around the world assess the quality of their educational servicesThese standards ensure continuous improvement and provide focus for schools to deliver on their mission, innovate, and drive impact.
