The new committee members of Kent Business Society launched their 2016\/17 event calendar last week with an introduction to the Business Start-Up Journey, the entrepreneurial programme run by Kent Business School.<\/p>\n
The event, which was held in the KBS Lecture Theatre was attended by over 50 new and returning\u00a0student members of the society, some who had traveled from the Medway <\/a>campus.<\/p>\n The students were introduced to their elected committee members who spoke about planned business society events for the upcoming year which will include social events as well as the chance for members to hear from industry experts.\u00a0Students were also given an insight into the\u00a0Business Start-Up Journey<\/a> by the Kent Business School\u00a0ASPIRE <\/a>project officer and former University of Kent student Alvis Nourrice.\u00a0Alvis, who graduated last year after studying Computer Science Consultancy now owns and runs\u00a0two technology companies; NU4 Consultancy, an\u00a0IT infrastructure management service, \u00a0and SeyResiKle, a\u00a0 Solar Energy firm based in Seychelles.<\/p>\n Melissa, Vice President of The Business Society was pleased with how the event was received;”it was great for our members to hear about Business Start-Up Journey<\/a>. It’s an exciting year ahead for Kent Business Society with workshops and events and we look forward to working closely with the business school.”<\/p>\n ASPIRE <\/a>project officer, Rebecca Smith<\/a> enjoyed networking with The Business Society<\/a> students; \u201cIt was fantastic to meet so many Kent Business Society members and get such a positive response to the Business Start-Up Journey.\u201d<\/p>\n The event\u00a0is just one of the ways in which Kent Business School and The Business Society<\/a> are working together.
