Kent Business School\u2019s innovative approach to promoting student enterprise has been recognised with a special royal invitation.<\/p>\n

KBS was invited to attend a Buckingham Palace garden party on 20 May by the office of Lord Young of Graffham, the Prime Minister\u2019s Advisor on Enterprise.<\/p>\n

Lord Young had attended KBS\u2019s annual Enterprise Day in 2014, during which he praised Kent\u2019s strategy of promoting student enterprise. He told students and members of the regional business community at the event: \u2018I have visited many business schools, but this is certainly one of the most entrepreneurial.\u2019<\/p>\n

KBS\u2019 royal invitation was accepted on the School\u2019s behalf by David Williamson, Director of External Services.<\/p>\n

He said afterwards: \u2018It is a great honour for the Business School to have been acknowledged in this way.’<\/p>\n

\u2018Enterprise is a key theme for the School and its aim in supporting budding student entrepreneurs. Our Enterprise and business start-up modules, combined with events such as our annual Enterprise Day and Student Pitch it! scheme are designed to inspire students and take them on an \u2018Enterprise Journey\u2019 whilst studying here at Kent. An invite to Buckingham Palace is great recognition for the work we are doing in this area.\u2019<\/p>\n
