You<\/div>\n<div>will begin by supporting our actuaries to develop and administer complex financial and statistical theories<\/div>\n<div>to calculate the likelihood of events \u2013 for example, the impact of a natural disaster \u2013 and how to mitigate<\/div>\n<div>and minimise risk for our clients. You\u2019ll work out what the financial and reinsurance implications are for<\/div>\n<div>our clients and you will begin to learn how to communicate your recommendations in a clear and concise<\/div>\n<div>manner to our clients.<\/div>\n<p><strong>Principal duties\/responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>Account analysis; providing analytical support and actuarial analysis to develop loss models for client<\/div>\n<div>businesses<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Creating and manipulating data using Excel, Visual Basic and Access<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Estimating reinsurance pricing and determining the effect of reinsurance on the client&#8217;s business<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Working closely with brokers\/actuaries to assist in designing program structures to meet client needs<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>Explaining analysis in clear terms appropriate to the audience<\/div>\n<p><strong>Communications and relationships<\/strong><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Internal:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>Actuarial Consultants<\/div>\n<div>Sales and Service and Placement Team Members\/Leaders<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>External:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>Carriers<\/div>\n<div>Clients<\/div>\n<div>Industry associations<\/div>\n<p><strong>Required qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>Undergraduate on a four-year course that includes a placement and on course for a 2:1<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">High level of numeracy and mathematical ability<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Understanding of the Reinsurance and Actuarial sector<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Accuracy and problem-solving\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Analysis\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Verbal and written communication and ability to explain matters to non-specialists<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Good IT\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Ability to forge good relationships\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Desire to take early responsibility\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">High degree of self-discipline and commitment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>About Willis<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>Willis Group Holdings plc is a leading global insurance broker, developing and delivering professional<\/div>\n<div>insurance, reinsurance, risk management, financial and human resource consulting and actuarial<\/div>\n<div>services to corporations, public entities and institutions around the world.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Willis has more than 400 offices in nearly 120 countries, with a global team of approximately 17,000<\/div>\n<div>employees serving clients in virtually every part of the world.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>If you are in your penultimate year at University and looking for an exciting challenging career in London<\/div>\n<div>then look no further than Willis.
