The ambition, impact, and integrity of Kent\u2019s community has been recognised by the Association of Master of Business Administrations (AMBA) and the Business Graduates Association (BGA), following the inclusion of Kent staff and students on the shortlist for three <\/span>Excellence Awards.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

MBA student and dedicated NHS professional, Caroline Knott<\/a>, has been shortlisted for the\u00a0<\/span>AMBA Student of the Year Award<\/span><\/b> in recognition of her exceptional career potential. Caroline (pictured above) is a Queens Nurse with 29 years\u2019 experience of clinical work under her belt. After 21<\/span>\u00a0years as a Bladder and Bowel Specialist Nurse, she was seconded to lead the operations involved in the implementation of a new electronic patient record in 2020. With ambitions to progress into other strategic roles in the NHS,\u00a0<\/span>she chose to study an MBA at Kent<\/span><\/a>\u00a0to develop her strategic skills further.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kent is also celebrating the news that its Acting Vice-Chancellor and President,\u00a0<\/span>Professor Georgina Randsley De Moura<\/span><\/a>, has been shortlisted for the\u00a0<\/span>Postgraduate Leadership Award<\/span><\/b>\u00a0in honour of her contribution to higher education following her graduation from Kent Business School\u2019s MBA programme in 2016.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The third shortlisting was for\u00a0<\/span>Kent Business School<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(KBS) in the\u00a0<\/span>Best Lifelong Learning Initiative Award<\/span><\/b>, recognising the innovative\u00a0<\/span>KBS Alumni Summer School<\/span><\/a>\u00a0launched last year by Director of the MBA,\u00a0<\/span>Debbie Kemp,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and MBA and Alumni Officer, Lynne Dickens<\/a>. The programme provides KBS alumni with the opportunity to reconnect with the Business School and join the latest discussions around current business issues.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Debbie Kemp, Director of the MBA in KBS, said: \u2018We are proud to have been shortlisted for three AMBA Excellence Awards this year which is an incredible achievement considering the prestigious global Business Schools we were competing against.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n
