Are you ready to take your understanding of trading and portfolio management to the next level? <strong>Invest competitively<\/strong> &#8211; Develop your finance skills by managing an investment portfolio through a 3-month simulation. Compete against students (and staff) and try to develop the most successful portfolio working with real market data.<\/p>\n<p>As a KBS student you will be able to join our dynamic Trading Game and apply the skills you learn in your courses in a practical, engaging, and risk-free environment. This is your chance to experiment with trading strategies and develop a keen sense of market dynamics, all while having fun and competing with your peers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why Participate?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Trading Game is designed to complement your academic learning with hands-on experience in trading and investments. Though it doesn\u2019t contribute toward any module credits, the game offers a valuable, enjoyable extracurricular activity that enhances your financial acumen and prepares you for real-world investment scenarios.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who Can Join?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All KBS students are encouraged to participate\u2014no prior trading experience is required. Whether you&#8217;re a seasoned trader or a complete beginner, this game is for you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Managed by Experts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our dedicated Directors of Studies for the undergraduate and postgraduate Finance courses will handle the setup and daily management of the game, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for all participants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Game Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Duration<\/strong>: 10 weeks<\/li>\n<li><strong>Start Date<\/strong>: 3rd October 2024<\/li>\n<li><strong>End Date<\/strong>: 5th December2024<\/li>\n<li><strong>Initial Virtual Capital<\/strong>: $100,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each participant starts with $100,000 in virtual funds to invest as they see fit. You have complete freedom to choose your trading strategies and the frequency of your trades throughout the 10-week period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exciting Prizes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have fantastic prizes for the top performers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Winner<\/strong>: \u00a350 Amazon voucher<\/li>\n<li><strong>First Runner-Up<\/strong>: \u00a330 Amazon voucher<\/li>\n<li><strong>Second Runner-Up<\/strong>: \u00a320 Amazon voucher<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to these vouchers, the winner and the two runners-up will earn valuable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/employability-points\">employability points<\/a>, enhancing their professional profiles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Trading Game will be hosted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/\">MarketWatch<\/a> platform.
