According to recent data, business subjects offer promising career prospects and competitive salaries. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Work transparency platform, Glassdoor<\/a> shows that business graduates can expect an average salary of around \u00a330,290 per annum, noted as \u2018very high\u2019. <\/span><\/p>\n
Finance graduates can expect even more at \u00a331,740. Marketing graduates are also at a respectable average of \u00a329,400.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
And, as you move through your career you can expect significantly more. Recent statistics from <\/span>SavetheStudent<\/span><\/a> put Marketing, Sales and Advertising Directors as the second highest paid profession in the UK with PR and Communications Directors, Financial Managers, General Managers and Project Managers not far behind.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Business Schools take connections to industry and professional bodies seriously. For example, as a school, KBS has accreditations with the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)<\/a>. The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB<\/a>) and The Association of MBAs (AMBA<\/a>).<\/p>\n
The three official bodies inspect and review Business Schools (a bit like Ofsted), and it\u2019s a rare thing for all three to give their stamp of approval – only one per cent of business schools worldwide have gotten the so called \u2018Triple Crown\u2019.<\/p>\n
KBS also has course level accreditations. For example, Undergraduates with accountancy\u202fspecialisms often\u202fgo on to take exams with their professional bodies in order to become chartered accountants. On our accounting courses we work with professional bodies like the ACCA<\/a>, CIMA<\/a>, ICAEW<\/a>, CIPFA<\/a>, CPA<\/a> to keep our courses up to date and relevant to industry, so we\u2019re always making improvements and working to reaccredit our modules with them. We know that it matters because every exemption means one less exam to sit with a professional accounting body, helping you reach the goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant even quicker.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re always working with these professional bodies, especially when we update or make improvements to a course. For example, for our BSc in Business and Marketing we\u2019re working to have it accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing<\/a> which means you\u2019ll gain qualifications through the CIM Graduate Gateway, something highly sought after by employers.<\/p>\n

Our business courses come with practical work experience opportunities such as our Year in Industry. <\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
Learning the theory of business during your first and second years provides a perfect steppingstone for a successful and confident placement year where you can apply what you have learned and get a feel for your future. Students like <\/span>Morgan<\/span><\/a> (pictured above) who was given a great deal of hands-on experience at Microsoft and even offered a graduate role following his placement year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
There is also the chance to either study at a university or work a placement on a Year Abroad<\/a>, where you can gain experience of a different culture and be able to travel the world within your degree while learning the differences of business in other\u00a0parts of the world. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
