{"id":20396,"date":"2023-04-27T10:37:57","date_gmt":"2023-04-27T09:37:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-news-events\/?p=20396"},"modified":"2023-04-27T14:11:34","modified_gmt":"2023-04-27T13:11:34","slug":"dr-matteo-molinari-receives-award-for-best-conference-paper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-news-events\/2023\/04\/dr-matteo-molinari-receives-award-for-best-conference-paper\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr Matteo Molinari receives award for Best Conference Paper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-school\/people\/senior-leadership-team\/3860\">Dr Matteo Molinari<\/a> presented at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bafa.ac.uk\/conference-information\/\">BAFA<\/a> Conference last week, receiving an award for Best Conference Paper.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The paper, entitled: &#8216;Advancing Management Accounting practice: focus on the challenges in reporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals\u2019 is related to a research project funded by CIMA.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ui-provider gq b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">Dr Molinari says: &#8216;The research paper explores how management accountants use SDGs reporting tools, techniques, and practices to shape organisational change towards sustainability.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ui-provider gq b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8216;In this research we identify a reinvigorated role of management accountant, adding immediate practical value, and contributing to promoting and developing the science of management accountancy. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"ui-provider gq b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z ab ac ae af ag ah ai aj ak\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8216;Additionally, the study provides greater insights into the ways management accounting and control systems are adopted, to align the activity of the organizations with the expectations of the stakeholders.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<section class=\"panel panel--content panel--article-body grid__main\">\n<div class=\"panel__body\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n<div class=\"text\">\n<div class=\"text__body\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-school\/research\"><strong>Kent Business School is a global leader in research and develops a wide portfolio of research related activities including\u00a0workshops, conferences and research seminar series.
