Growing Kent & Medway are funding projects that help the transition to net-zero and deliver improved productivity and sustainability in horticultural food and drink production. The latest grant bracket has increased to \u00a350-\u00a3350k.<\/p>\n
Over \u00a31m was awarded to six wide-ranging projects<\/a> in funding round one; from increasing vitamin C and iron in tomato crops, to reducing food waste by growing the best cherries for longer storage.<\/p>\n Kent and Medway is home to state-of-the-art horticultural and plant-based food and drink research facilities<\/a>, with a wide-range of expertise, from crop protection, new product development, sustainable packaging to post-harvest storage.
