{"id":16561,"date":"2022-08-03T09:24:28","date_gmt":"2022-08-03T08:24:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-news-events\/?p=16561"},"modified":"2022-08-03T09:24:28","modified_gmt":"2022-08-03T08:24:28","slug":"kent-business-school-to-host-2023-ams-world-marketing-congress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-news-events\/2022\/08\/kent-business-school-to-host-2023-ams-world-marketing-congress\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent Business School to Host 2023 AMS World Marketing Congress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kent Business School is delighted to host the\u00a0Academy of Marketing Science\u2019s World Marketing Congress \u00a0from 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0to 14<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0July 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The event aims to provide an opportunity for marketing scholars to reflect on and share ideas about the changing nature of marketing as a discipline, in a collegial and open forum.<\/p>\n<p>New knowledge tackling global and economic challenges will be developed, presented, and explored, continuing a tradition of collegial debate around the concept of marketing and its contribution to business and society at large.<\/p>\n<p>Academics from Kent Business School include Program Chairs\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-school\/people\/senior-leadership-team\/2471\/lowe-ben\">Professor Ben Lowe<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-school\/people\/senior-leadership-team\/2463\/petrovici-dan\">Dr Dan Petrovici<\/a>\u00a0(with Emeritus Professor Michael Czinkota from Georgetown University) and arrangements chair\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-school\/people\/senior-leadership-team\/2927\/luo-eddie\">Dr Eddie Luo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Lowe remarks: \u201c<em>The 2023 Congress will provide an opportunity to reconnect with marketing scholars, colleagues and friends from around the globe and will be the first in-person World Marketing Congress since the 22<\/em><em><sup>nd<\/sup><\/em><em>\u00a0WMC in Edinburgh (2019). It will provide a supportive forum for insightful ideas and engaging discussions about topics across the marketing spectrum through expert panel sessions, special topic sessions and peer reviewed, cutting edge research presentations.
