Kent Business School has been granted a three-year reaccreditation from the Small Business Charter. The School were commended on 19 areas including a high level of support for local SMEs and links to local business coupled with a focus and drive to promote and support student entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
The Small Business Charter (SBC) is\u00a0an award for the UK\u2019s world-class business schools<\/strong>.<\/strong> The SBC award celebrates business schools that play an effective role in supporting small businesses, local economies and student entrepreneurship. The latest accreditation demonstrates Kent Business School\u2019s commitment to working with the business community and building long-term partnerships to collaborate in a wider variety of ways.<\/p>\n Assessors from the accreditation team at the Small Business Charter commented: \u201cThe value KBS make to student enterprise is excellent and the staff\u2019s willingness and ability in the face of challenge – to pivot their mindsets and behaviours in real time is impressive\u2026 it is clear the school is operating in a manner keeping with the Small Business Charter (SBC) requirements and ambitions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The accreditation also ensures that Kent Business School is able to continue with its Help to Grow Management training scheme that began in February and is already proving to be a success.<\/p>\n Dean of Kent Business School, Professor Marian Garcia, says: \u201cHere at Kent Business School, we are delighted to have our commitment to SMEs recognised by the Chartered Association of Business Schools through our reaccreditation with the Small Business Charter. <\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe embed business experience in our teaching to provide experiential learning opportunities for all our students and we strive to incorporate real-world relevance in our research activities to support responsible management and enterprise.
