The Pembroke Campus is shared with\u00a0the\u00a0University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University and was originally built as a Royal Naval Barracks, HMS Pembroke, at the start of the 20th century. The campus houses award-winning buildings and has an exciting social scene with a strong sense of community.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-matters\/files\/2017\/08\/pembroke-campus.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1502 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-matters\/files\/2017\/08\/pembroke-campus.jpg\" alt=\"pembroke-campus\" width=\"750\" height=\"495\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Chatham Historic Dockyard<\/h2>\n<p>Chatham Historic Dockyard\u00a0is a\u00a0maritime museum\u00a0on part of the site of the former\u00a0royal\/naval dockyard. As the University of Kent has grown and evolved since its launch, Kent Business School and the School of Music and Fine Art moved across to the Historic Dockyard in 2015. The dockyard boasts three historic warships, a Victorian ropery and a historic lifeboat collection. University of Kent students can enter the <a href=\"http:\/\/thedockyard.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">attractions <\/a>for free.<\/p>\n<p>Timi Olayinka-Oke is the Student Experience Assistant for Kent Business School at Medway. The majority of your seminars will take place here, but you can also visit your lecturers during office hours, speak to a careers advisor or seek advice and guidance from a member of our Student Support Team.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-matters\/files\/2017\/08\/sail-and-colour-loft.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1499 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-matters\/files\/2017\/08\/sail-and-colour-loft.jpg\" alt=\"sail-and-colour-loft\" width=\"750\" height=\"495\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>The Church Lecture Theatre<\/h2>\n<p>Adjacent to the Sail and Colour Loft is the\u00a0Royal Dockyard Church. This is a distinctive Grade II listed building constructed between 1808 and 1811. In partnership with Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust, the University has recently transformed the Church into a magnificent 21st-century flexible space. As a traditional lecture theatre, it features technology for lecture recording, interactivity and in-class voting.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-matters\/files\/2017\/08\/church-lecture-theatre.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1500 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-matters\/files\/2017\/08\/church-lecture-theatre.jpg\" alt=\"church-lecture-theatre\" width=\"750\" height=\"495\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2>The Drill Hall Library<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/campus.medway.ac.uk\/\">Drill Hall Library<\/a>\u00a0on Pembroke Campus\u00a0provides state-of-the-art library and IT facilities in a historic setting. The library is well stocked with printed books and journals and provides access to a range of electronic information.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-matters\/files\/2017\/08\/drill-hall-library.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1501 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kent-business-matters\/files\/2017\/08\/drill-hall-library.jpg\" alt=\"drill-hall-library\" width=\"750\" height=\"495\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>GK Unions<\/h2>\n<p class=\"featurette-heading\">Greenwich and Kent Students\u2019 Unions Together is a partnership between the University of Greenwich Students Union and the Kent Union on the Medway campus. As a student member of Greenwich and Kent Student Unions together, you get the best of both worlds, as you\u2019re not only a member of GK Unions but of your \u2018home\u2019 student union too.<\/p>\n<p class=\"featurette-heading\">Holly O&#8217;Hara is a Student Ambassador for Kent Business School Medway. The imaginative space is filled with social zones, study areas and a brand new bar. GK Unions have worked hard to create a space\u00a0that all students\u00a0can benefit from,\u00a0this includes having\u00a0all GK Unions services located within the Student Hub for your convenience. The Student Hub has been created within a building that was once the home of a swimming pool when the campus was used as\u00a0an army barracks. The development has kept as many of the original features as possible while also creating a light and spacious area for everyone to enjoy. Within the Student Hub is the aptly named\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gkunions.co.uk\/thedeepend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Deep End<\/a>, which serves freshly-cooked food including speciality dishes, &#8216;Dive in&#8217; burgers and tasty pizzas. As well as great food, the Deep End is also a great night-time venue.
