Given just \u00a31, how much money can your team make in just four weeks to help fund micro-loans for people starting businesses in the poorest parts of the world?<\/p>\n

Students taking part in a month-long entrepreneurial challenge are reaching out across the University<\/a> for support.<\/p>\n

Students from Economics, Computing, Anthropology and Kent Business School<\/a> have come together for the Micro-Tyco<\/a> challenge where they are given \u00a31 and have 30 days to turn it into as much money as possible.<\/p>\n

\"Wildhearts<\/a><\/p>\n

The proceeds are then used by the global social enterprise, Wildhearts<\/a>, to provide micro-finance loans to people who want to start their own businesses in poorer parts of the world.<\/p>\n

“Micro-Tyco inspires an entrepreneurial environment that fosters creative thinking, resourcefulness and team work as well as helping pupils to develop financial literacy, communication, leadership, project management and networking skills.” – Wildhearts<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The team is asking for students to support their fundraising and events and to donate via their just giving page.<\/p>\n

Entrepreneurial ideas for fundraising include trading in shares, online coaching and virtual art classes They are also planning a virtual Christmas fair.<\/p>\n
