Be inspired at the launch of this year\u2019s Business Start-Up Journey with talks by student entrepreneurs and keynote speeches on the power of business to change the world.<\/p>\n

The Journey<\/h2>\n

The Business Start-Up Journey (BSUJ)<\/a> is the University\u2019s<\/a> flagship programme for supporting students who want to start their own business and develop entrepreneurial skills.<\/p>\n

A 15-week co-curricular programme, the Journey, open to all students at the University of Kent,\u00a0 provides a roadmap to finding and developing a business idea and taking it to launch.<\/p>\n

The Journey combines practical, fun and interactive group workshops with one-to-one advice sessions with the ASPIRE\u2019<\/a>s Entrepreneurs in Residence and network of mentors.<\/p>\n

A pitching competition at the end of the programme offers the chance for the winning student to take away a \u00a31,000 prize to help start their business.<\/p>\n

BSUJ 2019 entries<\/h2>\n

Andrew Christopher<\/a> is the founder of L-Drive<\/a>, an online platform disrupting the learner driver market.<\/p>\n

Andrew graduated from Kent Business School<\/a> after winning the BSUJ \u00a0pitching finals in 2019<\/a>. He will be talking about developing his app supported by ASPIRE and the Santander Universities<\/a> Emerging Entrepreneurs programme.<\/p>\n

Molly Walsh is a final year Sports Science<\/a> student who is launching a new drink aimed at the health and fitness market. Molly took part in last year\u2019s Business Start-Up Journey and will be talking about how she has been developing her business.<\/p>\n

Dr Mick Jackson – Keynote Speaker<\/h2>\n

A serial entrepreneur, Mick is the founder of WildHearts<\/a>, a multi-million-pound group created with the sole aim of using their pro\ufb01ts to help humanity.<\/p>\n
