{"id":12664,"date":"2021-11-17T18:05:06","date_gmt":"2021-11-17T18:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-news-events\/?p=12664"},"modified":"2021-11-25T09:28:22","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T09:28:22","slug":"headline-sponsors-announced-for-the-kent-and-medway-business-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-news-events\/2021\/11\/headline-sponsors-announced-for-the-kent-and-medway-business-summit\/","title":{"rendered":"Headline sponsors announced for the Kent and Medway Business Summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Two key headline sponsors have been announced for the flagship Kent and Medway Business Summit 2022 on 14 January.Leading accountancy firm, Kreston Reeves, are sponsoring the Summit for a second year and are joined by top law firm, Thomson Snell &#038; Passmore.<\/p>\n<div class=\"panel panel--content panel--heading\">\n<div class=\"panel__body\">\n<div style=\"text-align: left\">The summit will bring together some 300 businesses, key policy makers and academics.Delegates will hear up-to-the-minute regional updates on major projects and developments including contributions from The Bank of England; the Leader of Kent County Council, Roger Gough; the Deputy Chief Executive of Medway Council, Richard Hicks, and Kate Willard OBE, a Thames Estuary Envoy.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"panel panel--content panel--grid-content panel--article-body\">\n<div class=\"panel__body\">\n<div class=\"content content--main\">\n<div class=\"article__content\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">With a focus on sustainable innovation and the drive for net zero carbon emissions, the Summit will include a panel discussion on sustaining more environmentally friendly businesses as well as the chance for delegates to join collaborative workshops to help create a road map for the region\u2019s sustainable economic future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Key topics will include place-making for the cultural and creative sector, retaining a skilled workforce in the region and challenges in productivity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Workshops will feature presentations from leading business people including 3 times KEiBA winner, Bal Sandher, managing director of Medway-based Hectic Lifestyles and Kresse Wesling CBE, co-founder of international sustainable accessories brand, Elvis and Kresse.
