{"id":668,"date":"2025-09-19T10:41:18","date_gmt":"2025-09-19T09:41:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-library-guide\/?page_id=668"},"modified":"2026-01-21T11:52:47","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T11:52:47","slug":"lseg-for-staff","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-library-guide\/lseg-for-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"LSEG for staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>For most research purposes, academic staff and researchers should use a standard self-registration LSEG Workspace Student Licence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In exceptional circumstances, academic staff and researchers may require a\u00a0<strong>LSEG Workspace Professor Licence<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the researcher intends to publish academic work\u00a0using LSEG Workspace data<\/li>\n<li>If the researcher\u00a0needs to download more than 10 million Datastream data points per month<\/li>\n<li>If the researcher is working on a long term research project<\/li>\n<li>All research conducted using\u00a0LSEG Workspace should be for academic and on-commercial purposes only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>University of Kent has 1 x LSEG Workspace Professor Licences which is available to academic staff and researchers on request.<\/p>\n<p>If you wish to apply for a LSEG Professor Licence, please contact<strong> academiclibrary@kent.ac.uk \u00a0<\/strong>including your name, role or job title, reason for your request, and your preferred start date and duration of access.
