{"id":656,"date":"2025-09-18T14:14:33","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T13:14:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-library-guide\/?page_id=656"},"modified":"2026-10-21T11:31:10","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T10:31:10","slug":"lseg-self-registration","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/kbs-library-guide\/lseg-self-registration\/","title":{"rendered":"LSEG self-registration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LSEG Workspace (formerly Refinitiv Eikon) provides access to company financial data and economic indicators, as well as news, analytics, and productivity tools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:\u00a0<\/strong> the licence restricts each user to a limit of 10m data points per month in Datastream downloads.<\/p>\n<h1><a href=\"https:\/\/myaccount.lseg.com\/productregistration.html\">Click here for self-registration<\/a><\/h1>\n<p>You will need to use your University of Kent email address to register for an account.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/livekentac-my.sharepoint.com\/:w:\/g\/personal\/hc496_kent_ac_uk\/EREQM3hXPKRIulJnPToHb1sBwkTqa0HLI_sJRMt7WOoYXw?e=N908wM\">Self-registration step-by-step guide<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>First-time users<\/h4>\n<p>To access LSEG Workspace, users must first register for an LSEG Workplace Licence:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/myaccess.microsoft.com\/@livekentac.onmicrosoft.com#\/access-packages)\">My Access Packages\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Log in to your Kent IT account if required<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Click on <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">LSEG Workspace self-registration<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Click <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Continue<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You do not need to enter a business justification \u2013 click <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Submit request<\/span><\/b><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You will shortly after receive an email confirming <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You now have access to LSEG Workspace self-registration<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Your account will take up to 45 minutes to be created in LSEG Workspace \u2013 it will not work before then!<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-contrast=\"auto\">After 45 minutes you will be able to log in via <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/login.workspace.lseg.com\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">https:\/\/login.workspace.lseg.com\/<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> with your Kent IT account.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span class=\"TextRun SCXW59900541 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW59900541 BCX0\">Your LSEG account will expire after 28 days.
