From 20 January<\/b> we have 1 month access to these two collections designed to develop students’ primary source literacy and critical thinking skills. If you are teaching or studying <\/b>the arts, humanities\u202fand social sciences then these resources could be invaluable to you.<\/p>\n

Research Skills Foundations<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Introduces key approaches and methodologies to working with source material. It provides practical advice where students can find historical documents, the questions they might want to pose and how best to conduct their own research and analysis of materials (P.S. check out the walnut in the Practice Sources!)<\/p>\n

Interrogating Colonial Documents and Narratives<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Explores specific approaches and considerations when working with colonial documents. <\/b>It provides practical guidance on how students can find hidden voices in colonial documents, the ways instructors can teach colonial history and how best to analyse colonial records and conduct their own research.<\/p>\n

Both will help to\u202fembed\u202fthe core principles and practices for understanding and using primary sources and can be used as\u202fseminar activities or online teaching\u202fto enhance student\u202fsuccess, as well as\u202ffor independent study.<\/p>\n
