This is necessary to ensure the safety and proper functioning of the electrical system.<\/p>\n<p>To allow for this shutdown, Templeman Library will be <strong>closed for the entire day on Saturday 4th January 2025<\/strong>. We will reopen and resume <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/library-it\/opening-hours-and-support\">scheduled opening times<\/a> on Sunday, 5 January 2025. The work is being managed by Commercials Services &amp; Estates and is necessary to ensure the ongoing maintenance and safety of the library&#8217;s electrical systems.<\/p>\n<h3>What do I need to do?<\/h3>\n<p>If you plan to be in the library on <strong>Thursday, 2 January<\/strong> or <strong>Friday, 3 January<\/strong>, please ensure that you <strong>turn off your computers and back up your work<\/strong> at the end of the day. This precaution is important as we prepare for the full power shutdown scheduled for <strong>Saturday morning<\/strong>.
