Our subscription to Lean Library is ending on 31 July 2024.<\/p>\n

This service allowed users to download a browser extension that automatically linked articles or e-books to our subscriptions whereever you searched on the web.<\/p>\n

However we have now set up a subscription to a new tool called LibKey Nomad\u00a0<\/a>that provides the same service with some added extras.<\/p>\n

For users that have installed Lean Library on your browsers it will not link to our paid collections beyond the end of this month.<\/p>\n

We encourage you to swap over tools or start using LibKey Nomad to get seamless access to articles and ebooks that we pay for.<\/p>\n

To remove Lean Library browser extension<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Click on ‘Manage Extensions’ on your browser, this will vary according to browser, but it is usually on the top right toolbar.<\/li>\n
  2. Find ‘Lean Library’ and select remove.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To add LibKey Nomad browser extension<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Go to the\u00a0LibKey Nomad<\/a>\u00a0download page<\/li>\n
    2. Choose your browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave and Vivaldi)<\/li>\n
    3. Once installed, open LibKey from your browser and select University of Kent\u00a0 to link it to our collections and subscriptions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      We apologise for any disruption in transferring over service. This is a result of our commitment to monitor and improve services to users and we hope you enjoy the greater functionality provided by LibKey Nomad.<\/p>\n
