The Open Science Framework (OSF) is a research collaboration platform that is freely available to all researchers. It allows for the management and sharing of research projects at all stages of research. It can integrate with many tools and services that may already be in use such as Box, Github, Google Drive, and many others so that you can continue to work within your existing workflow. Even though it has “open” in the name, projects on the OSF are private by default and making them open is optional.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) funding has enabled Kent to become a member of the OSF. Kent will pilot this enhanced service for a period of 1 year to gauge benefits, with a view to build a business case to seek continued funding for the service if it’s found to be valuable.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Researchers are already using the platform to store data and collaborate <\/span>via our institutional page<\/span><\/a>. Becoming a member will enable Kent to visualise our open science portfolio via a dashboard to gain insights and track adoption. This service will complement our existing data storage and collaboration services, providing another option in the toolkit for research data management and collaboration activity.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Using the OSF platform is simple and intuitive, there is extensive support documentation available on the <\/span>OSF website<\/span><\/a> itself and you can view our guides page<\/a> for more information about this service.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
