{"id":18545,"date":"2025-06-05T10:30:42","date_gmt":"2025-06-05T09:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/isnews\/?p=18545"},"modified":"2026-05-07T12:26:50","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T11:26:50","slug":"returning-your-library-books","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/isnews\/returning-your-library-books\/","title":{"rendered":"Finished with your library books?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the academic year comes to an end, please return any library books you\u2019ve finished using or no longer need.<br \/>\nThe library asks all students to return borrowed items once exams and assignments are complete\u2014especially if you\u2019re graduating or won\u2019t require the books over the summer.<br \/>\nReturning your books helps ensure resources remain available for other students and allows the library to prepare for the next academic year.<\/p>\n<h2>Your options for returning\u00a0books<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>If you\u2019re <strong>on the Canterbury campus<\/strong>, use the book returns drop off point in the Welcome Hall or the external book drop on Library Road.<\/li>\n<li>If you <strong>live in the Medway area<\/strong>, you can return Templeman Library books to the Drill Hall Library at the Universities of Medway campus.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Posting books<\/strong>: depending on weight and volume, you could consider breaking up a large parcel into smaller ones. Courier services might be cheaper than Royal Mail and pick up the parcel from you.
