The material will be made available digitally in Moodle.<\/p>\n<h2>What you need to do<\/h2>\n<p>You only need to <strong>request new scans<\/strong>. That\u2019s because scans in the most recent version of the module will be carried over automatically.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use <a href=\"https:\/\/moodle.kent.ac.uk\/2020\/my\/\">Moodle 2020<\/a>\u00a0to request your scan.<\/li>\n<li>Allow 4-6 weeks for us to process your requests.<\/li>\n<li>Submit your requests <strong>as soon\u00a0as possible\u00a0<\/strong>if you need items for the start of term.<\/li>\n<li>Enter the \u2018<strong>Week required<\/strong>\u2019 on the scan form. That\u2019s the week your students need to read it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How much you can request<\/h2>\n<p>Because of COVID-19, t<span data-contrast=\"auto\">he CLA have increased the limit <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">for copy<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ing up to 20% or 2 chapters from each source <strong>until 31 July 2021<\/strong>, but there are some conditions attached. The main entitlement (the first 10%\/chapter) and the additional entitlement will be treated differently.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Main entitlement<\/h3>\n<p>You can request 10% or a chapter (whichever is greater) from each source, per module, for example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a whole chapter from a book<\/li>\n<li>a whole article from a magazine\/journal issue<\/li>\n<li>a whole scene from a play<\/li>\n<li>a whole paper from a set of conference proceedings<\/li>\n<li>a whole report of a single case from a volume of judicial proceedings<\/li>\n<li>a short story, poem or play (not exceeding 10 pages in length) from an anthology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Additional entitlement<\/h3>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">You can request a second chapter or an additional 10% (whichever is greater), <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">subject to the following conditions:<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-listid=\"3\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">no digital edition is available for the Library to buy<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-listid=\"3\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">only books from around 111 participating publishers qualify for the additional entitlement<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-level=\"1\" data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-listid=\"3\" data-font=\"Symbol\" data-leveltext=\"\uf0b7\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">anthologies, plays or poetry are excluded.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Check the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cla.co.uk\/HE-licence-terms-amended-covid19\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">CLA webpages<\/span><\/a><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\"> for full details.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>How to request the additional entitlement<\/h4>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Please submit <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">two separate requests<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in Moodle and <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">indicate<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">which<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">is <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the second scan request<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> by entering <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">COVID-19<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> in the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2018<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Notes <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to Librarian\u2019 <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">field<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:true,&quot;134233118&quot;:true,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The second<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> scan <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">request will <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">only available up until 31 July 2021 and, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in accordance with the terms of the CLA licence, will be deleted<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> from Moodle after this date.
