Women's History Month: championing equity, diversity and inclusionWe are celebrating Women’s History Month in the Templeman Library this month, recognising women who champion equality, diversity and inclusion.

Women's History Month: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in STEM

This year we have updated our Diversity in STEM resources list to include a variety of digital resources including podcasts, online events and films and documentaries for you to engage with, a few of our favourites below:

  • For International Women’s Day on the 8 March the theme is #InpireInclusion. The International Women’s Day has a fantastic range of missions celebrating the work of women, including a mission for women’ health.
  • The cite black women podcast – This bi-weekly podcast features reflections and conversations about the politics and praxis of acknowledging and centering Black women’s ideas and intellectual contributions inside and outside of the academy through citation.
  • Check out the library’s own DVD collection to find exciting films for and by women such as Reflections Unheard: black women in civil rights and Suffragette.
  • POW festival 2024 a local Thanet-based charity celebrating the power of women, there is an exciting line-up of online events throughout March. This years theme is Restival: the year of unapologetic rest!
