What you can do in the Templeman Library from 17 May

Updated at 15:30 Monday 17 May: you will still have to wear a face covering when seated in the library unless you are eating or drinking. This is in-line with current government guidelines for universities.

In accordance with the new Government guidelines, we’re making some changes to what you can do in the Templeman Library from Monday 17 May.

Do remember to bring your KentOne card, as we can’t let you in without it.

Group study

You can now study in groups of up to 6 people in these areas in the library:

  • Library Café
  • group study booths on Block C, Floor 2
  • bookable group study rooms (bookable from Monday 17 May for Tuesday onwards)

Other study spaces remain socially distanced.

The furniture has been set out for your safety, so don’t move tables, desks or chairs, even in group study areas.

Face coverings

You still need to wear a face covering when entering and at all times in the library unless you are exempt or are eating or drinking. (This is a change from what we previously announced.)

All other safety measures are staying in place.
