On Wednesday 23 June we’re changing the login process for most online services including Moodle, Student Data System, Kent Vision, Staff Connect, online Library resources and many more. This will improve the security of your Kent IT Account.
Staff: what this means for you
You’ll be asked to add an extra security step when logging in from off campus. You did this earlier this year for email, Teams and other Microsoft 365 apps. This is multi-factor authentication and makes your Kent IT Account much more secure.
- See our Multi-factor authentication (MFA) guide about how to do this.
Login with your Kent IT Account username followed by @kent.ac.uk. For example, if your username is abc12 enter abc12@kent.ac.uk
Students: what this means for you
The login screen you see when off campus will change to match the login screen for email, Teams and other Microsoft 365 services. Login with your Kent IT Account username followed by @kent.ac.uk. For example, if your username is abc12 enter abc12@kent.ac.uk
This change will strengthen security on your account later this summer, when multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be added to your account. We’ll contact you with details about how to set this up.
Help and support
If you have any difficulties accessing a service we recommend you try logging in again a short while later. If you continue to have problems please get in touch.
