Study Hub changes

Read about the new exciting developments to study spaces on campus, many of which have come about because of student feedback.

Park Wood IT Hub

The new Student Hub complex over in Park Wood will house a new IT Hub, packed with PCs and study space in a convenient location. It was sad saying goodbye to our beloved cabin hub, but this new space will certainly make up for it! Opening soon.

Senate Postgraduate Study Hub

Senate will be open later this year as a Study Hub for the exclusive use of postgrads! It will have PCs, individual study spaces and room to use your own laptop. You’ll need your KentOne card to enter.

Darwin small PC room

With a lick of paint, a new carpet and some snazzy sofas, you can study in comfort! There are more spaces to use your laptop. There isn’t a printer in the room but you can still print to the nearby Bob Eager suite. Check out our Instagram to see photos of the transformation.

Turing College

Turing Study Hub has moved to the room next to Reception. There are now 5 PCs, more power points and laptop work desks. We’ve changed the desks, added a height-adjustable one, and replaced the chairs to improve comfort. You wanted a printer and you now have one!

Thanks for your feedback

Many of these changes are as a result of student feedback.
Let’s keep the conversation going: tell us what you think of your study hubs!
