Most of our Read and Publish agreements cover a period of two or three years. As the end of each period approaches, JISC begins negotiating over the terms of the new agreement.

In early 2023, this is particularly relevant in relation to Springer Nature and Sage. JISC are still in negotiation with these publishers over the terms of new agreements for 2023 onwards.
Until these new agreements are in place, subscription read access and open access publishing remains as it was in 2022. University of Kent researchers can still publish OA in the Springer and Sage titles that are listed in our Read and Publish journal search
