We won’t ask you to change your password

From Wednesday 1 May you won’t have to change your Kent IT Account password every 9 months.

If you get an email asking you to change your password, it will be fake unless you’ve asked us to make your password expire (if you need to change your password regularly for compliance reasons, let us know).

For the majority of us, government advice on account security no longer recommends enforced password changes every 9 months.

You can still reset your password manually, and will need to do this if you ever click on a link that you think might be fraudulent, or suspect your account has been compromised.
