New resource for chemistry

Reaxys is now available for staff and students!

Following a successful trial last academic year, we have recently subscribed to Reaxys from Elsevier.

Reaxys provides a full range of chemistry research, including pharmaceutical development, in the chemicals industry and research fields. It can help you:

  • Discover chemical structures, properties and reactions
  • Find relevant chemistry literature and patents
  • Build chemical queries to interrogate and search on
  • Assess compound synthesis 
  • Access research data

The database covers 450 core chemistry journals and textbooks, more than 16,000 journals and conference abstracts and patents from major world offices dating as far aback as 1771. This resources will be especially useful for chemists, pharmacists and biochemists.
