In Information Services there is a Research and Scholarly Communication Support team that can help with research needs from the research funding application stage through to publication and assessing impact.
Alongside this we are in the process of re-aligning our staff to provide liaison librarians for each division by 2021.

Recent research support developments

  • KAR web tagging can now be offered as a service. This allows webpages to be created for research projects or groups and for researchers to select the publications in KAR that they wish to display on the relevant webpage. Please contact researchsupport@kent.ac.uk.  If you have an existing website, please provide the URL and the word or “tag” you wish to associate with it. If you do not yet have a website please outline your requirements.
  • Improvements have been made to the citation style used to display publications on staff profiles. We are now using Harvard or APA as standard, rather than Kent Harvard. This means that the reference style will be routinely updated in line with the rules outlined in Cite them Right Online. This will prevent the accumulation of outdated reference style features. In particular the [online] statement will retire
  • Publications associated with contributor status or thesis supervisor status will no longer display on staff profiles
  • Your ORCiD will display on your staff profile page (for example https://www.kent.ac.uk/architecture-planning/people/8/adler-gerald) provided you have linked your ORCiD to the University of Kent following the instructions on this page

Please see this user guide for general advice about the publications section of your staff profile.

We are working on adding the new divisional structure to the hierarchy in KAR and KDR and mapping the existing entries to it.
