Introduction to the library for new academic staff

Are you academic staff and have joined Kent recently? If so, don’t miss the opportunity to find out all about the support for your teaching and research offered by the library.

Newly appointed academic staff are invited to take part in an introduction to teaching and research support offered by the library.

Moodle module

We have created a Moodle module to guide you through the services we offer and introduce you to the teams that will be supporting you in your teaching and research activities here at the University of Kent.

This module will help you to:

  • Find digital and physical resources to support your teaching and research
  • Make the most of teaching support services such as the reading list and CLA scanning service
  • Incorporate Kent Inclusive Practices (KIPs) into your teaching
  • Find out how to add your research works to our institutional repository and meet the Research Support team and the Office for Scholarly Communication who can support you with your research

And we’ll also:

  • Introduce you to the treasures in our Special Collections and Archives and explain opportunities to use these in your teaching
  • Introduce you to your liaison librarian
