Introduction to the Library’s teaching and research support for new and returning academics

The Templeman Library

Newly appointed (and returning academic staff who would like a refresher to our services): you are invited to take our Moodle module Introduction to teaching and research support offered by the library. (You’ll be asked to self-enroll to access the content.)

The module will introduce you to the key teaching and research support services we offer to help you make the most of library services.

In this module, you’ll learn how to:

  • find digital and physical resources to support your teaching and research
  • make the most of teaching support services such as the reading list and CLA scanning services
  • incorporate Kent Inclusive Practices (KIPs) into your teaching
  • add your research works to our institutional repository and understand how the Research Support team can support you with your research.
  • use Special Collections and Archives in your teaching.

To complement the Moodle module, we will also be hosting a digital Q&A event on Wednesday 15 September at 14:00-14:30. Here you will meet key members of the library team and can ask any questions you might have after completing the module.

Each school also has their dedicated Liaison Librarian who can provide you with tailored support and advice. Please don’t hesitate to contact us to say hello.
