{"id":759,"date":"2017-08-23T17:58:09","date_gmt":"2017-08-23T16:58:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/internationalpartnerships-news\/?p=759"},"modified":"2017-08-24T11:28:41","modified_gmt":"2017-08-24T10:28:41","slug":"india-immersion-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/internationalpartnerships-news\/2017\/08\/23\/india-immersion-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent Students awarded bursary for India Immersion Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Dean for Internationalisation,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/global\/deanforinternational.html\">Dr. Anthony Manning<\/a>, together with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/global\/partnerships\/\">International Partnerships Directorate<\/a>, have teamed up to design a bursary\u00a0opportunity that supports\u00a0<strong>3 Kent students<\/strong>\u00a0to participate in the India Immersion Program offered by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amity.edu\/\">Amity University<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 2017 round of applications for the bursary closed in June with the successful applicants later announced as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Stephen Evans (Biochemistry)<\/li>\n<li>Sophie Annabel Nash (Religious Studies)<\/li>\n<li>Eleanor Clare Middlemass (Anthropology)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>As part of the programme, the students travel together and spend 2 weeks in India across\u00a0the end of August\u00a0and early September 2017.
